How do you reach a light bulb 40ft up indoors?

Need to change a few light bulbs in a historic restaurant, yeah i got plenty of ways to reach it, but if in the 3% chance I drop a ladder Im screwed,

any help, can an extension pole and grip reach that far?|||That would be done with a A-frame latter.|||Home Depot has the perfect extension poles with an accessory for gripping the bulb and releasing.|||Might want to rent a lift.

A extension pole is 16- 20 ft then a 12 ft step and a 6 foot man that is not scared of heights might get it.

Call a electrician and have them give you a bid to change them.

No good answer for you sorry that%26#039;s tall.|||If you have the room, a scissor lift is the best way, and you can rent them. I%26#039;ve used them several times and they are surprisingly stable and not expensive to rent. Or you could use both, get a 20 foot scissor lift and a 20 foot extension pole (easier to handle).

I would try a fiberglass telescoping pole first :
